The Just Change Trust has three main focus areas: training, research and networking. Supporting our member groups with the appropriate training to enable them sucessfully take control of their economies is our core work. This is backed by research both conceptual and practical action research. Our third area of focus is to network with other groups and organisations who are thinking on similar lines so that we not only spread the concept of Just Change but also improve our own conceptual understanding.

The Just Change India Producer Company on the other hand focusses directly on trading. It does this through branches at the member level and Village Consumer Societies int he various villages of the member group. JCIPC sources dry groceries (at present we do not deal with perishables) in bulk and then distributes it through the Village Consumer Societies to individual member households. While our aim is to source all products directly from producers, we are not yet there. We are constantly on the lookout to source more and more directly from producer groups. And also to produce whatever we can by ourselves. What we are unable to produce ourselves or source from producers directly we prchase in bulk from the open market. When we began only about 18% was sourced from producers. But now within two years, about 60% is sourced from producers while the rest is sourced from the open market.
