Just Change is a community led initiative that seeks to regain power in markets by directly linking porducers, consumers and investors in a network that is mutually beneficial. Started in India by the adivasis of the Gudalur Valley of Tamilnadu in response to the crash in tea prices, it quickly spread to other community groups in India. It now functions through two arms: The Just Change Trust and the Just Change India Producer Company.

Our Global Community

But we didn't stop here. Just Change has spread to the UK, Germany and France. We are now an international network of community groups and individuals all committed to creating a new and alternative trading system, so that disadvantaged communities can gain greater control over their economic lives.

Our History

We have grown and continue to grow organically – where each country and each community group within that country takes complete ownership of Just Change in their area. Hence we are at different stages of growth in different countries. Ours is a history of solidarity, conviction, innovation and a determination to make the world a better place.
